Willard Water District Improvement Project Update – October 30, 2023

Final pressure testing on Prospect Street was completed after multiple attempts. It appears that there was trapped air in the main. In addition, disinfection, and submission of bacteriological samples was completed and the samples passed Department of Health testing.

Based on the successful completion of testing, Prospect Street services will be switched to the new main this week.

Approximately 360 feet of water main installation was completed on County Road 132A south from the intersection with County Road 132. Unfortunately, a phone cable was severed due to an incorrect Dig Safe report, and work was stopped. Work will not continue in that area until all Dig Safe/utility services are properly marked. It is hoped that will be completed this week allowing work to resume.

Depending upon the weather, it is anticipated that construction work will soon be suspended for the season.
