Dog Control Officer

The Dog Control Officer enforces local and regional laws concerning the licensing, care, and treatment of dogs. They may capture and impound dangerous or stray animals. They work directly with residents concerning dog control issues. They can write incident reports and issue citations as necessary, rescue trapped animals, and provide expert testimony in court cases. They provide humane care to animals under their control.
