The boil water advisory for the Seneca Meadows complex has been lifted. Residents are no longer required to boil water. The text of the original notice appears below.
The Seneca County Health Department issued a boil water advisory for a portion of the Spring Meadows Apartment complex in Romulus.
Specifically, buildings 235 through 245. According to health officials all tap water needs to be brought to a rolling boil, and held there for one minute before cooling for use. Boiled water should be used for drinking, making ice, washing dishes, brushing teeth, and preparing food until further notice.
The notice was brought on by a water main break, which occurred Wednesday morning. The main break increases the chance that untreated water and harmful microbes entered the water line.
The main was repaired by late-afternoon, but the boil water advisory is expected to last 2-3 days.
